JOSH HART PICKS UP OFFER FROM VILLANOVA, INTEREST FROM TEMPLE

When NBE last saw Class of 2013 Josh Hart of Sidwell friends at the Jameer Nelson Philly.com Holiday Classic, the 6-foot-4, 200-lb guard had one of the day’s most impressive performances, leading his team to a win over Atlantic City (NJ). The smooth scorer continues to be a name that is overlooked for the most part nationally, but is definitely picking up plenty of college attention and expect that to continue when he hits the AAU trail this spring and summer.
“I will be playing with Team Takeover this summer and I am really looking forward to the competition in the EYBL this year,” Hart told NBE on Friday.
After helping Sidwell Friends to a league championship, which was the highlight of his season, his success will likely carry over to the AAU circuit and you can expect a lot of schools to be on his trail. He has recently added a new offer and some new interest from schools on the East Coast.
“The only recent offer that I got within the last month or so is Villanova,” he said. “The newest interest that I got is Temple.”

Hart has seen interest, and offers, from a variety of schools at all levels from the BIG EAST, ACC, Big 10, Atlantic 10 and more. He is still very open in his recruitment and will be interested in anyone that wants to make the effort to recruit him.
“I am keeping my recruiting wide open. I am considering every school that reaches out to me,” he said, also adding that “there aren’t any leaders right now.”
While Hart continues to keep his recruiting wide open, he does have several schools he is hoping to visit and get a better look at in the near future.
“I would like to visit Villanova, San Diego State, Xavier and Marquette.”
Hart plans to decide on a school after the summer period, but if a school comes in and sweeps him off his feet and his family agrees it is the right place for him a decision could come sooner.
“My time frame to make my decision is this fall but if my family and I feel that a certain school is right for my I will not hesitate to commit earlier,” he said. “The biggest factor in my decision will be a school with strong academics. Besides that it will be [the] coaching staff, the school’s community and style of play.”
Josh Hart will certainly be in a position to make a bigger name for himself this spring and summer playing with Keith Stevens’ powerful Team Takeover DC squad. NBE will be very curious to see what college coaches take notice of the Class of 2013 prospect and we will be certain to follow up with him along the way.
