Ron Bailey
Ron covers the I95 corridor in and around Washington DC for the NBE Basketball Report. If there is a big event near the nation’s capital, expect Ron to be there bringing us the goods. Ron is also the publisher of i95ballerz.com

Jeff Borzello
Jeff is the resident bracketologist and college basketball expert for NBE, and also covers AAU and high school basketball throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He runs the college basketball blog, March Madness All Season, which is on the collegehoops.net network, and is a member of the United States Basketball Writers Association. Jeff has done freelance work for a variety of media outlets, and has also appeared on dozens of radio shows over the past few years. He is set to graduate from the University of Delaware in May, and will attend graduate school in Maryland. Jeff is originally from Long Island, New York.

Brian Crownover
Brian is our main man in Philly and covers high school and AAU action from the mid-Atlantic into New York City regularly. Brian is also the Lead Recruiting Analyst at RecruitRecon.com.

Chris Dokish
Chris is a Recruiting Analyst for NBE Basketball. Currently, Chris lives in the basketball’s mecca, New York City. He is an award winning writer that is a contributing editor for the Pittsburgh Sports Report and their Keystone Recruiting Newsletter.

Doug Ferguson
Doug is the Midwest Editor for the NBE Basketball Report and is our residential NBA Draft guru. Doug lives is Indiana, about 30 minutes from Chicago, putting him in prime location to keep tabs on the expanding Big East interests in the Midwest.

Ray Floriani
Ray is the NBE’s most veteran writer and covers the NYC/NJ college beat for the NBE Basketball Report. Ray, who lives in New Jersey, has been a basketball writer for over 25 years, and was named the 1999 NIT Media Man of the Year.

Anthony Jaskulski
Anthony is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and serves as a college basketball writer with the Pittsburgh Sports Report. He covers Pittsburgh, Duquesne and Robert Morris Athletics. His coverage includes annual Pitt Panther coverage from the Big East and NCAA Tournaments. Anthony also writes feature stories for PSR, including his groundbreaking piece on Jermaine Dixon: As Tough As They Come. Anthony also does a daily blog titled Everything College Hoops

Richard Kent
Richard a veteran college basketball writer and has written for SI.Com, Athlon and has covered the NCAA Tournament in the CBS Studio. He also has done extensive work on women’s college basketball, having founded the Big East Women’s Basketball Report and written three books on the topic. He broke the story nationally that UConn and Tennessee would no longer be playing. His day job is practicing law as a matrimonial attorney in Fairfield, Connecticut where he is a member of Best Lawyers In America.

Ray Mernagh
Ray is a contributing editor at the Pittsburgh Sports Report and has written features for PSR since 2003-04. He is also the publisher of Hoopwise.com and has written for Basketball Times. Ray is especially proud to have written for the now-defunct Eastern Basketball before the legendary magazine went under. Ray will continue to write his “Belly of the Beast” column, as well as provide scouting reports and breaking news and analysis on all things Big East for NBE. He can also be heard as the national college basketball expert on the Joe Bendel Show every Wednesday during the college hoops season. His first book, 1 Chance 2 Dance: A Season Inside Mid-Major Hoops in Mid-America was released in 2006 and provided a no-holds-barred inside look at the world of college basketball.

Zach Smart
Zach is a freelance sports writer who has been covering the Big East for the past five years, primarily on the UConn beat. A product of New York, Mr. Smart is active on the local scene. His favorite books are The Bible and Sacred Hoops by Phil Jackson. His work has appeared in a number of online sources, including Hoopville.com and NY Is The Mecca. He currently maintains his own blog, http://zsmart.blogspot.com.

Matt Whitfield
Matt is a recent WVU grad and lifelong basketball fan. His second cousin is former Boston College Center John Oates. Matt covers high school and AAU action in the northeast for NBE as well as recruiting news around the Big East. He also freelances in his spare time doing features on highly touted minor league prospects.
