MORE PITTSBURG JAM FEST: PLAYAZ LOADED WITH…PLAYERS

I was sitting in the back gym at the “Pete” on Saturday watching the Playaz team in a highly competitive game with a team from Detroit called the Stars. About five minutes in during a timeout a friend commented that “you could close your eyes right now, throw a rock at that huddle and hit a kid you’d be happy to have as a D-1 coach.”
My friend was right. They are very deep with talented basketball players, kids that play the right way as well.
I laughed and pointed to the scorers table that had a few Pitt players working and said “all those dudes were Playaz too.”
The point being if you want kids that are going to turn out well for you as a college coach, it might be a good idea to build relationships with this program. I’m going to start off with two of the less talked about members who really stood out, then give my impression of some of the better known guys on the squad as well as the recruiting notes on each gathered this spring.
