DORON LAMB HOLDING AT FIVE SCHOOLS

As if the New York City area needed any more college basketball or recruiting drama this season, rumors about St. John’s and Doron Lamb circulated over the past couple of days.
A surprising report on Friday even stated that Lamb was planning to meet with new Red Storm coach Steve Lavin.
However, the unsigned five-star wing out of Oak Hill Academy (VA) seemed surprised himself by the story and denied the report when reached by NBE late this after afternoon.
“No I never talk to him,” Lamb told the NBE Basketball Report in a text message referring to the new Red Storm coach. “It’s not true, I don’t know him.”
Lamb, who scored 20 points in the season-ending loss to Mountain State Academy (W.Va.) at the National High School Invitational on Thursday, also confirmed that his final five schools were Kentucky, Kansas, Connecticut, West Virginia and Arizona. Despite reports that he dropped Arizona from his list, he insists that the Wildcats are still under consideration.
“I don’t know where I’m going yet,” Lamb said at the NHSI Thursday night. “I’m going to talk to my parents and figure out where I’m going.”
He plans to make his announcement on April 17 at the Jordan Brand Classic in New York
