Scouting Report: Feb 2012 – The 6’2” lengthy point guard rebounded from an up and down performance on Thursday to put on quite a show in Cushing victory Saturday. He admitted to me after the game that he was a little bit nervous on Thursday playing in front of major college coaches for one of the first times but had clearly put that behind him by the time he took the court Saturday. Joseph was in complete control of his team from the point guard spot and despite only being a sophomore is the unquestioned leader of the group. He was at his best in transition where his high athleticism shined as he pushed the ball hard towards the rim and always seemed to make the right pass to get a layup for a teammate. He was also a beast defensively blocking 3 or 4 shots on unsuspecting players who didn’t view a 6’2” point guard as a shot blocking threat. Joseph needs to do a better job of limiting turnovers but has big upside and is a definite high major point guard (Brian Bosworth at National Prep School Invitational).
