Savon Goodman

Scouting Reports: May 2010 - The MVP of the second game, Goodman got all of his points on dunks. By my count, I mean he literally got all of his points off of dunks. He struggled early, missing some easy shots, but then began to consistently dominate his defenders. Goodman is only 6-6, but he can post up with the best of them and uses his fantastic athleticism and finishing ability to get baskets around the rim. He seems to glide past defenders on his dunks and is also able to drive off the dribble. Goodman will need to develop a jumper, though (Jeff Borzello at Philly Underclass AS Game).

Jan 2010 - Already with a good build for a sophomore forward. Goodman is an athletic, agile forward who reminds me of Jason Richardson. Can very easily take it to the rack for an impressive layup or dunk, as he did numerous times in the game against Impact Academy as he accumulated 32 points and 12 rebounds while earning game MVP honors. Showed quick hands and the ability to find good at positioning for himself on the floor to do damage (Matt Whitfield at Big Apple Basketball Invitational).

May 2009 - This strong young slasher had a pair of nice games. He loves to attack off the bounce and use his well developed body to finish around the rim. Savon buried a game winning three– pointer at the buzzer to win the 16 and under championship. Ironically, that was one of the few jumpers he actually hit on the day. He really struggled with his jumper. Savon also took to many shots from the outside. He’s a terrific talent though and if his shot develops, he’ll be very highly coveted (Brian Crownover at Southern Jam Fest)
