Scouting Reports: July 2010 - Quietly turning into the player everybody said he was. Size, skill, athleticism plus. Ellis gave the J-Smoove Celtics all they could handle. Finished at the rim with power, finished through contact, hit multiple three-pointers, fronted Nick Jacobs on D and came up with some steals and rebounded like a beast. Ellis fought his ass off and impressed me more than he ever has. Great energy and showing by Ellis (Ray Mernagh at NY2LA Summer Jam).
July 2009 – Perry was overwhelmingly impressive for how young he is. He played like a veteran, and knew what he was doing on every possession. His defense was in-your-face for the most part, and he excelled in the fast break and give-and-go drills today, playing hard-nosed aggressive style on both ends of the floor. Ellis’ quickness alone makes many D-1 schools salivate, and we learned why today, as he smoked by some of the best in the country (Anthony Jaskulski at LJSA)
