Scouting Reports: June 2010 - What I liked about Paige is that he didn’t get rattled and he still made plays for his teammates and on his own as the battle with Johnson went on. Branden Dawson, Sidiki Johnson and Mikael Hopkins all have to be thrilled to be playing with a heady point like Paige. Paige started to get his footing late and put an exclamation point on his teams W with a big-time finish at the rim while absorbing heavy contact in the last few minutes. Paige needs to add strength in the next year or so (he already appears to have added an inch or two in height) but right now there’s absolutely no question that he’s headed to the high major level. Paige glides down the court with the ball and can pull up for a mid-range J, attack the rim, or find the open man for easy buckets. Again I stress the fact that Paige didn’t show any resignation when Ty Johnson was kind of giving it to him early, he kept the same body language (think Tony Parker demeanor) and played through it impressively (Ray Mernagh at NBPA Top 100 Camp).
