Scouting Reports: July 2011 – Pushing 6’7, SF Danuel House has good size on the wing to go along with big-time athleticism. A high flyer, House is an explosive finisher at the rim who can produce highlight reel dunks. He has good length and a strong build. House can connect from long range, though he is not the most consistent shooter. He handles the ball well and gets to the rim off the bounce. He has a good motor and could become a superb perimeter defender if he works at it. House was one of the spring’s biggest stock boosters and his development is by no means finished (Alex Schwartz at AAU Super Showcase).
June 2012 – The Joy of the Game Center was literally Danuel’s (pronounced Daniel) House this weekend as he was easily the most buzzworthy player in the building. Not picking up a basketball until 8th grade and being in the 6’3?-6’4? range as early as last summer, House has been thought of as mostly a mid-level talent. Anyone who was at the Best Buy Classic this weekend knows that is the furthest thing from the truth. He averaged 5 dunks per game in the three full Texas PRO games I watched. These were no sissy dunks either. He was the team’s leading scorer in over half of their games (on a team with #1 prospect Isaiah Austin). House also displays a shot that ranges out beyond the 3-point arc and he is very disruptive in the passing lanes on defense with his quickness and long arms (Doug Ferguson at Best Buy Chicago Classic).
