Myles Mack

Scouting Reports: April 2010 - It’s an argument for the ages but in the case of Myles Mack, size most definitely does not matter. Another Paterson Catholic kid, Mack is a straight baller/assassin on the hardwood. Seems to make every play, Mack is athletic and strong. That athleticism and strenght, combined with speed allows him to get his shot anytime he wants to. Mack has no aversion to sharing the ball though and the evidence was in how he advanced the ball with both the pass and dribble and fpound teammates for dunks and open J’s all game. He also threw a few tremendous lobs. Mack has deep range and gorgeous form on his own jumpshot and gets tremendous lift on it as well. Didn’t force anything. Gets into the lane and hits the runner over the trees in the lane. His handle maybe could use some tightening (he lost it twice) but it’s far from loose. Gets into the passing lanes on defense and comes up with quite a few loose balls. Mack is a dynamic player. Think Drew Lavender plus (Ray Mernagh at Pittsburgh Jam Fest).

July 2009 – Despite a loss to Mac Irvin Fire, Mack had one of his better performances. He finished with 31 points, most coming in the second half when the Playaz needed points in a hurry. He was unstoppable, scoring in the lane against bigger defenders and with contact. He hit a three from the corner while getting fouled, pulled up and knocked down a three from about 23 feet, and also hit a fadeaway jumper off the glass.
