Scouting Reports:
July 2009 - Hinds was flat-out one of the top performers I watched all day on Wednesday. He is extremely quick and his dexterity stands out immediately. He is not overly explosive when going past defenders, but he can get into the lane whenever he wants. Hinds is also a strong finisher, using his athleticism and leaping ability to get baskets around the rim. He had a nice step-back jumper and made a coupe of nice players on the defensive end. Hinds can pass well and is smooth with the ball (Jeff Borzello at AAU Super Showcase).
Feb 2009 – The sophomore point guard is very quick going to the basket, and is really tough to stay in front of when he wants to get into the lane. He can shoot the three from beyond the arc, as well. Still, because he is young, he defers to Sherrod Wright and doesn’t look for his own shot often. He is solid defensively, and has good athleticism and leaping ability. Hinds is a good passer who finds the open man. He had 18 points (Jeff Borzello at HoopHall Classic).
