Austin Carroll

Scouting Reports:
June 2008 – The son of former Boston Celtics’ head coach John Carroll, Austin Carroll is beginning to make a name for himself. He is a very solid all-around player who does everything well and does not make mistakes. He takes care of the ball when playing the point, and can also drive past his defender and finish around the rim. He does not allow contact to affect his shot, and showed the ability to score over bigger players. Carroll has a solid jumpshot, and knocked down several open threes, both standing still and in rhythm. He is a very good passer who is always a step ahead of the defense – and sometimes his teammates. Carroll runs the pick-and-roll very well and has good vision. He also is adept at running the fast-break and is excellent in transition. He is a leader on the court and is simply a heady player who makes good decisions (Jeff Borzello at 2008 Rumble in the Bronx).
