BIG EAST RECRUITING UPDATE: VILLANOVA

VERBAL COMMITMENT ALERT: Jayvaughn Pinkston, PF from Bishop Loughlin in NYC.
Villanova and head coach Jay Wright scored their third commitment for the class of 2010 when NYC forward Jayvaughn Pinkston verbally committed to the Wildcats today. An official announcement is expected to come at a press conference tomorrow, but Pinkston confirmed the commitment in a text message to the NY Post, according to Post sportswriter Dylan Butler.
Loughlin’s Pinkston Commits to Villanova (NY Post) over Tennessee, St. John’s, Seton Hall and Marquette. The powerful 6-foot-6 forward can sign a letter of intent in April.
Pinkston joins November signees James Bell and Markus Kennedy in the Wildcats’ 2010 class. ‘Nova still has one open scholarship remaining for 2010.
