Ohio State has been a recruiting juggernaut under Thad Matta, and when you can get visits from five of the top kids in the class of 2011 during the most-hyped college football game of the regular season, chance are that’s not going to stop any time soon.

All of OSU’s 2010 kids will be there along with 2011 targets Quinn Cook, Cook’s USA U-16 gold medal winning teammate Brad Beal, Rock Island (IL) guard Chasson Randle, Wahington (IN) 6-9 forward Cody Zeller and Detroit Country Day’s 6-10 center Amir Williams. Cook is a top priority for the Buckeyes and is considered one of the very best point guards in the 2011 class. Cook has Big East schools Georgetown and Notre Dame on his list in addition to many others. Randle has DePaul and Notre Dame on his list and just about the whole Big Ten has offered the heady guard. Williams is a game changer on the defensive end who continues to improve — he’s an excellent passer for a big and his post game is coming, he just looks like a kid that will have an impact at the high-major level. Beal has proven to be an elite scorer in the backcourt and is a coveted player by every elite program in the game.

Word is that LeBron James, Greg Oden and Mike Conley will also be in the Horseshoe for the big game. Cook was excited about the visit saying in an email that “I can’t wait to see that game!”

Check back next week for an update on the visit.

Connecticut will also be hosting a big visitor as local stud Andre Drummond, who is looking at move into the class of 2012, will be on their campus this weekend.
