According to a school press release, West Virginia has suspended guard Darryl Bryant indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
Coach Bob Huggins made the announcement earlier today.
“Darryl is suspended indefinitely from all team-related activities,” said Huggins in school-released statement.
Coach Huggins was in Cleveland today at the King City Classic and would not comment on the story.
As a freshmen, Bryant started 28 games in place of injured guard Joe Mazzulla. Bryant averaged 9.8 points and 2.7 assists per game last season.
Mazzulla is also currently suspended indefinitely after the junior was charged following an altercation at a Morgantown bar. Huggins issued the suspension last April as it was Mazzulla’s second arrest in nine months.
