Here are some newer names for Big East fans to learn as they put on some strong showings at the Rumble in the Bronx from earlier this month.
(Don’t forget to follow NBE on TWITTER at twitter.com/nbeblogger)

Majok Majok
This big man is quite talented. Majok was very efficient on the inside and had a monster game on the boards playing for the Connecticut Basketball Club. He scored on a number of putbacks and pulled down numerous rebounds on the other end as well. He converted on a hook shot in the post, but did miss a couple other hooks. Majok had a nice steal and assist. He was strong against Team Final’s solid frontcourt.
At the Rumble, Majok gave NBE a recruiting list of Stanford, Marquette, Missouri, Arkansas, Oregon State, Minnesota, Providence, St. John’s and Harvard. His top three would be Stanford, Harvard and Marquette and he would really like to visit Stanford.
Anthony Lee
This left-handed big man for Team Florida is very talented. Anthony is athletic and finished very well inside. He has good hands and touch around the rim. He runs the floor well and scored on the break. On one play, he threw down a dunk and was fouled for a three point play. Anthony had a fine game at the charity stripe too. He grabbed several rebounds and blocked a shot on the defensive end. He does need to get stronger, but his lack of strength didn’t hamper Anthony’s ability to finish in this one.
Wilfried Yueguete
Wilfried is a terrific looking wing player with Team Florida. The lefty was excellent at driving to the hoop using his long strides. He also showed the ability to change directions with crossovers and spin moves. He hit a runner in the lane and finish well around the bucket. Wilfried is pretty athletic and he was active on the offensive glass too. He had an impressive game on Saturday.
Kyrie Irving
This scoring guard wasn’t at his best in the contest we watched, although, expectations are set high with a player of his caliber. Kyrie was able to attack with his quickness and draw some fouls. When he didn’t draw fouls, he had trouble converting against Team Florida’s big frontline. Kyrie hit a three-pointer from the outside, but his jumper wasn’t falling much in this game. He’ll certainly have better days than he did on Saturday.
On the recruiting front, Irving mentioned his recent visits to Connecticut and Indiana and he is very interested in visiting Notre Dame and Texas A&M in the near future when he can. In all, Irving said he is considering 10 schools and also mentioned Duke, Virginia, Kentucky and Florida by name to NBE on Friday night.

Myles Davis
Myles was dominant in the contest for the Playaz we watched on Saturday. He had his shot really working from the outside. He knocked down three from beyond the arc,
including one of the pull up variety. He followed that up with a runner in the lane before hitting another three-pointer. Myles is good at attacking off the dribble too. He finished or drew fouls on several occasions. He is quite the talented young guard.
In recruiting, Davis likes Virginia, Marist, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Louisville, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Arizona. He informed NBE he hopes to visit UVA and Pitt soon.
Fuquan Edwin
Fuquan always excels in transition and did so in this game. He’s lanky, athletic and a very good finisher. He had several dunks. He also showed his ability to get to the rim as a slasher. Fuquan was quiet from the perimeter and that’s an area that could use some improve for the talented
wing.
Edwin has narrowed his college choices to Seton Hall and Providence, visiting both before July, and possibly deciding soon after.
Isaiah Epps
Isaiah was solid with this loaded squad. The lefty, 2010 Pittsburgh-commit showed some unselfish play with a nice drive and dish play. From the outside, he buried a pull up three-pointer. The future Panther played some defense too as he picked up a steal and threw a good, long outlet pass.
Matt Brown
Matt made a couple plays in this game. He ran the floor well. He hit a floater in the lane and followed up his own miss. From the outside, he nailed a pull up three-pointer. Matt is a physical guard, but he wasn’t able to get into the lane often on this day. He was still solid though for the Mass Rivals.
Carson Desrosiers
This skilled big man had a decent outing. Carson didn’t do a lot, but really showed his mobility. That was on full display on a beautiful give and go play in which he converted. He moves well without the basket and dunked a shot after a good pass from a teammate.
Stephan Drane
This big man played with a lot of energy for Garner Road. Stephan struggled to finish early on, but kept at it and continued to put forth a lot of effort. He’s mobile and athletic and made a number of plays. He had a beautiful reverse jam and also hit a hook shot in the post. Stephan was among the surprise players of the day.
Uchebo Joseph
This young big man was also impressive for Garner Road. He can play with his back to the basket or step out and face the hoop. Uchebo had a couple finishes around the rim, including one in which he was fouled. He displayed a good set of hands which helped him to convert and grab rebounds. He also showed a good understand of the game as he made several nice passes. One of those was in the post after originally going to his left. Uchebo can put the ball on the floor some and he ran the floor as well. He seems like a name that we should be hearing more of in the future.
Shaq Duncan
Playing with Team NJ ABC, Shaq does a really fine job of making himself available on the interior. He finished well around the rim, including some athletic dunks. He made a
few plays with his back to the basket too. Shaq always run the floor and converts in transition. He had a good outing again for NJABC.
Tyrone Garland
I only snuck a peak of his game with East Coast Elite, but it appeared that Tyrone nailed a few shots with his quick release. He had a nice drive and dish play and if he does more of that, his stock could really elevate in July.
The Philadelphia guard from Bartram High School, provided a school list that included offers from Temple, LaSalle, Nebraska, St. Bonaventure and Drexel. Many high-majors are paying attention, including Seton Hall and Rutgers from the Big East, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Virginia out of the ACC as well as Memphis and Western Kentucky.
