2010 prospect continues ‘World Tour’ of college campuses; has Syracuse next
Tobias Harris the 6-foot-8, 215 pound forward from Half Hollows Hills West on Long Sland (NY) recently continued his college campus tour with a stop at Georgetown to learn more about John Thompson III’s program.

“Tobias had a great meeting with (the) Georgetown coaches, reviewing game film of Georgetown games showing how Tobias’ style of play fits into (the) Georgetown style,” Tobias’ father, Torrel Harris Sr, told the NBE Basketball Report in an e-mail earlier today. “Tobias also met with Georgetown’s academic advisor and strength and conditioning coach.”
Another treat of the trip was being able to play pick-up basketball with the current Hoyas who were joined on the court by former Hoya and Big East Player of the Year, Jeff Green, who is currently a member of the Seattle Supersonics.
“Tobias came away very impressed with the history of the school’s basketball program, academics and all the coaches,” Torrel Sr said as he summed up the Georgetown visit experience.
The world tour of colleges continues later this week as a trip to Syracuse is next up for Tobias. Attending the Orange Elite camp will give recruits a chance to get a closer look at the SU campus and for Jim Boehiem to show off his newly earned Gold Medal as part of the coaching staff of the Olympic Basketball squad that just won gold in Beijing.
Tobias also took in the campuses of Virginia, where he also attended their elite camp early in the summer, and Maryland during his time in the mid-atlantic and was very impressed with both as well (see the College Basketball Blog Report for details).
