JUSTIN CROSGILE RECRUITING UPDATE
April 29, 2008 by NBE Blogger · Leave a Comment
This promises to be an important spring and summer for Justn Crosgile as the 6’0 point guard from DePaul Catholic in New Jersey looks to elevate his status nationally. Crosgile is a very well known commodity in the New Jersey area, evidenced by the offers he already possesses. This season on the AAU circuit, Crosgile would like to impress some of the nation’s elite programs and turn their interest into offers.
Alex Schwartz recently caught up with Crosgile and gives us an update on his recruitment.
Justn Crosgile headed into the spring AAU season armed with offers from St. John’s, Rutgers and Seton Hall of the Big East and St. Joseph’s (PA) and Houston from outside of the conference. Other schools interested include Notre Dame, Miami (FL), Davidson, Ohio State, Xavier, Stanford, Lehigh, Penn State, UCLA, Indiana, Michigan State, and Michigan.
Playing this AAU season with Team New Jersey ABC, Crosgile hopes to turn much of that interest into offers, especially from schools such as Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan, whom, along with St. Joseph’s, represent the top five schools on his current list.
Justin Says . . .
Biggest Strength: “I’m good off the dribble. . . . When I drive, I get a shot for myself, . . . or I dish it off to my teammates.”
Biggest Weakness: “Sometimes, I stand around and watch. . . . [Also,] for a guard, I like to go in and rebound, . . . so big guard, they leak out. . . . I like to crash [the boards] a lot, [but] . . . Everybody [is telling] me [that] when I get to college, I can’t really do that because there [are] seven-footers.”
